Just Jolly Branded Content Policy

Introduction

At Just Jolly, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and compliance when it comes to branded content. Branded content refers to content created by a publisher or creator that features or is influenced by a business partner in exchange for value, whether monetary or in-kind. In accordance with this policy, all branded content must adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including local laws, global standards, and Just Jolly's guidelines.


By agreeing to the Just Jolly Branded Content Policy, which is incorporated under and governed by the Just Jolly Terms of Service, you acknowledge and consent to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth therein. Furthermore, by providing your agreement to the Just Jolly Terms of Service, you also expressly agree to comply with all provisions of the Just Jolly Branded Content Policy, as part of the overarching contractual obligations governing your use of the Just Jolly platform.


1. Branded Content GuidelinesCreators must ensure that all third-party products, brands, or business partners are tagged appropriately in compliance with Just Jolly’s standards. This tool must be used with prior consent from the business partner involved.


2. Compliance with Applicable LawsAll creators must comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the country or region where their ads are displayed, as well as their own country’s legal requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, local advertising laws, consumer protection laws, data privacy laws, and industry-specific guidelines. Branded content must be designed to ensure compliance with these standards, including the provision of necessary disclosures to users as required by law.


3. Age RestrictionsCertain types of branded content require age gating to ensure that they are only shown to appropriate audiences. Content must comply with applicable age restrictions based on the nature of the product or service being promoted. For instance, alcohol, subscription services, financial products, and other restricted categories must adhere to age restrictions based on local laws and regulations.


4. Prohibited ContentJust Jolly prohibits the promotion of the following types of content in branded content:

  • Illegal Products or Services: Any products or services that are prohibited by law.

  • Tobacco Products and Simulated Smoking Devices: Including but not limited to electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, and other smoking-related products.

  • Drugs and Drug-Related Products: Including illegal drugs or recreational substances.

  • Unsafe Products or Supplements: Products or supplements that pose a risk to health and safety, such as anabolic steroids or certain weight-loss supplements.

  • Weapons, Ammunition, and Explosives: Content promoting firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons intended for self-defense.

  • Adult Products or Services: With the exception of family planning and contraception.

  • Payday Loans, Bail Bonds, and Multilevel Marketing: Content promoting financial schemes or controversial business practices.

  • Political or Social Issues: Content that exploits our prohibited ads policy related to social issues, elections or politics.


5. Restricted Content CategoriesCertain content types may be promoted with restrictions based on the nature of the product or service:

  • Alcohol: Branded content promoting alcohol must comply with relevant local laws, industry guidelines, and age gating requirements.

  • Subscription Services: Branded content promoting subscription services must be age-gated to users 18 years or older, and comply with all applicable local laws.

  • Financial and Insurance Products: Branded content promoting financial products or services, including credit cards and loans, must be targeted to users aged 18 or older. Content must not be misleading or deceptive.

  • Cosmetic Procedures and Weight Loss Products: Content promoting cosmetic procedures, surgery, or weight loss products must be age-gated to users 18 or older.

  • Family Planning and Contraception: Content promoting contraceptives must focus on the product’s features and avoid references to sexual pleasure or enhancement. It must be age-gated to users 18 or older.


6. Business Partner AuthorizationCertain business categories require pre-authorization from Just Jolly before promoting their services via branded content. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Dating Services

  • Real Money Gambling

  • Pharmacies and Prescription Drugs

  • Cryptocurrency Products and Services

  • Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers

  • Government, Elections, and Political Content


Business partners in these categories must obtain written permission from Just Jolly prior to engaging in branded content promotion. The approval process may involve additional verification steps to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.


7. Format RestrictionsTo maintain a high-quality user experience, branded content must comply with the following format restrictions:

  • Video or audio content must not include pre-roll, mid-roll, or post-roll ads.

  • Banner ads must not be included within videos or images.

  • Title cards must not appear within the first three seconds of a video. Mid-roll or end-roll interstitial cards must not persist for more than three consecutive seconds. For policies related to branded content within our ads product, please see our Advertising Standards.


8. Enforcement and ComplianceJust Jolly reserves the right to remove or reject any branded content that does not comply with this policy. Creators and business partners are responsible for ensuring that their content adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, including those specific to their region or country. Violations of this policy may result in the suspension or termination of your Just Jolly account for the offending party.
